FPGEC/NABP Credential Evaluation for Foreign Pharmacists
Evaluation Reports for the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy/Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee
Foreign-educated pharmacists applying to the FPGEC® Certification Program need an ECE® credential evaluation of their pharmacy education. ECE provides the General Report required for this process and sends an official report copy, along with the educational documents submitted for evaluation, directly to NABP/FPGEC when the required copy is ordered. Professional licensure or registration documents should be submitted directly to NABP, not to ECE.

Extra copy of report needed:
- You must order an extra copy of the report to be sent directly to the NABP/FPGEC.
Sending an extra copy to NABP/FPGEC also authorizes ECE to send all submitted educational documents to NABP/FPGEC.
ECE evaluation reports include only educational documentation. Your professional licensure documents should NOT be submitted to ECE with your application for the ECE evaluation report. Your professional licensure documents (referred to as "Official Proof of Licensure and/or Registration" documents by NABP) should be submitted directly to NABP."
Educational requirements for NABP/FPGEC:
- Prior to 1 January 2003 - Applicants issued a pharmacy degree prior to this date must have completed a four-year pharmacy program (minimum) by the time of graduation.
- On or after 1 January 2003 - Applicants issued a pharmacy degree on or after this date must have completed a five-year pharmacy program (minimum) by the time of graduation.
Note: An ECE® evaluation report does not confirm acceptance to sit for the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency (FPGEC) Examination offered by NABP.

What type of ECE® report is required for FPGEC certification?
Applicants to the FPGEC® Certification Program need an ECE® General Report. When ordering, select NABP as the purpose of the report and request an official copy to be sent directly to NABP/FPGEC.
Does ECE send my credential evaluation directly to NABP/FPGEC?
Yes. You must order an official copy of the completed ECE® report for NABP/FPGEC. Ordering that copy also authorizes ECE to send the educational documents submitted for the evaluation to NABP/FPGEC.
What pharmacy documents does ECE review for an FPGEC evaluation?
ECE reviews the required educational records, including official pharmacy school transcripts and official proof of the pharmacy degree. Additional documentation or an official English translation may be required depending on the documents submitted.
Should I send my pharmacy license or registration documents to ECE?
No. ECE evaluation reports cover educational documentation. Professional licensure or registration documents required for FPGEC certification should be submitted directly to NABP according to NABP instructions.
Does an ECE® evaluation determine whether I am eligible to take the FPGEE®?
No. An ECE® evaluation reports educational equivalence and does not determine eligibility for the FPGEE® or pharmacy licensure in the United States. NABP determines eligibility for the FPGEC Certification Program and FPGEE.
