Internationally educated nurses applying to the Indiana State Board of Nursing can order an ECE® Credential Evaluation Assessment (CEA) Report for Initial RN Licensure or Endorsement RN Licensure. Indiana requirements include secondary school information, foreign nursing license or registration records, and nursing education transcripts. ECE® nursing forms and transcripts must be submitted as instructed. An English Language Proficiency (ELP) Report may be required when nursing instruction, textbooks, and clinical practice were not solely in English. Applicants educated entirely in English may qualify for an exemption, and at-home ELP exams are not accepted. Order through MyECE®.
What ECE® report should an internationally educated nurse order for Indiana?
Order the Credential Evaluation Assessment (CEA) Report for Initial RN Licensure when seeking a first U.S. RN license before taking the NCLEX-RN® examination. Order the Endorsement RN Licensure Report when a U.S. RN license is already held and Indiana licensure is being requested by endorsement.
What documents does the Indiana State Board of Nursing require for the evaluation?
The current Indiana requirements list secondary school information, foreign nursing license or registration records, and nursing education records. ECE® nursing forms and official transcripts must be completed and submitted according to the instructions provided in MyECE®.
When is an English Language Proficiency Report required for Indiana RN licensure?
An ELP Report may be required when the language of nursing instruction, textbooks, and clinical practice was not solely English. Applicants educated entirely in English may qualify for an exemption. At-home ELP exams are not accepted for the nursing evaluation.
How can an applicant send the ECE® nursing report to the Indiana State Board of Nursing?
Start the order in MyECE®, choose Indiana and the appropriate initial or endorsement report, and follow the recipient and document instructions. Schools and licensing authorities should send the required official records through the approved submission methods shown in the account dashboard.
