Internationally educated nurses applying to the Colorado Board of Nursing can order an ECE® Credential Evaluation Assessment (CEA) Report for Initial RN Licensure or Endorsement RN Licensure. Colorado requirements include secondary school information, foreign nursing license or registration records, and nursing education transcripts. ECE® nursing forms and transcripts must be submitted as instructed. An English Language Proficiency (ELP) Report may also be required when nursing instruction, textbooks, and clinical practice were not solely in English. At-home ELP exams are not accepted. Begin by ordering the appropriate report through MyECE®.
Which credential evaluation report is needed for Colorado RN licensure?
Choose the ECE® Credential Evaluation Assessment (CEA) Report for Initial RN Licensure when applying for a first U.S. RN license before taking the NCLEX-RN® examination. Choose the Endorsement RN Licensure Report when a U.S. RN license is already held and Colorado licensure is being requested by endorsement.
What documents are required for the Colorado Board of Nursing evaluation?
The current Colorado requirements list secondary school information, foreign nursing license or registration records, and nursing education records. ECE® nursing forms and official transcripts must be completed and sent according to the instructions in the MyECE® account dashboard.
Does Colorado require an English Language Proficiency Report for internationally educated nurses?
An ELP Report may be required when the language of nursing instruction, textbooks, and clinical practice was not solely English. Applicants educated entirely in English may qualify for an exemption. At-home ELP exams are not accepted for this nursing evaluation process.
How is an ECE® nursing report ordered for Colorado?
Order through MyECE®, select Colorado as the state board, and choose either Initial RN Licensure or Endorsement RN Licensure. Follow the document checklist and request forms in the account dashboard so records can be submitted by the appropriate schools and licensing authorities.
