Q & A Session

Q: What's your background? What did you do before joining ECE?

I am from Philadelphia, born and raised. I went to Temple University (go Owls!) and St. Joseph's University (go Hawks!) I think Philly has a liking for birds, even our football team likes birds, go Eagles! But before I joined the ECE team, I worked for 24 years at CGFNS International. I held nine positions during my tenure. I started as an evaluator and finished as the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Client Engagement.

Q: What do you do at ECE? What excites you most about your position and/or your team?

I am the new Director of Regulatory and Workforce Services. Wow, good question. What excites me about this position (1) networking with a diverse group of people, (2) learning new trends in the field, and (3) making sure that ECE is the "gold standard" in credential evaluation assessment.

Q: What are three words that describe ECE's culture?

Inclusive, collaborative and innovative.

Q: Where have you traveled inside or outside of the U.S.? Do you have a favorite country, city, or region that you like to visit?

I am a city girl at heart. But there is no better place to visit in the summer like New York City (mainly Brooklyn and Harlem). There is always something to do, may it be an outdoor festival, the people, the culture, the shopping, and the energy.

Q:Are there any books or movies that you simply could not put down or kept thinking about long after you had read or watched them? Why?

I can watch over and over again Desperately Seeking Susan. This movie is an oldie but a goodie, AND who does not like Madonna.

Q: Do you have a favorite cuisine? If yes, a particular dish you love?

I loooove chicken fingers with Ken's honey mustard only. Well, maybe blue cheese or ranch if I'm feeling fancy. I am a connoisseur (don't judge.. lol). Why this particular choice of food? I love the taste, of course, they are very easy to make, and you can eat chicken fingers hot or cold.

Lightning Round!

Q. Vacation or staycation?
Staycation. I believe your home is one of the most expensive purchases you will make. So why not enjoy it with family and friends. Now don't get me wrong, I love traveling. But nothing beats a great cookout.

Q: Netflix or Hulu?
Netflix. There is always something to watch.

Q. Night or morning?
Night. This is the time of day when I can relax and unwind.

Q. Passenger or Driver?
Passenger. I love being a passenger, but I must admit I'm a backseat driver.

Q. Be embarrassed or be afraid?
Be afraid. My ego won't allow me to be embarrassed.

Q: City or Country?
City. I'm a Philly girl.

Q: Wine or beer?
Wine. Moscato is my go-to wine. Very sweet and light.

Q: Hot or iced coffee?
Iced coffee. I like iced coffee because you can drink it in the summer or winter.

Q: Patterned or plain?
Patterned. As I have gotten older, my style has changed a lot. I used to only love black and neutral colors. But I will say I have evolved to loving patterns in my home and wardrobe.

Our Meet the Team series puts the spotlight on the incredible people who make ECE tick. From their talents to their quirks, we’re celebrating the personalities that shape our culture and keep us moving forward. Thanks for getting to know the folks behind the mission!
