Our online training program helps international admissions professionals, recruiters, and credential evaluators understand educational systems and academic credentials from around the world. Hot topics, such as fraudulent credentials, institutional accreditation, and non-verifiable documentation are also covered.

Our goal is to help you develop the skills necessary to make informed admissions, placement, and licensure decisions.

The webinars are led by our highly trained and experienced evaluation staff. Each e-Learning module is designed to be part lecture, part audience participation, and very practical in application.

Registration Questions

How do I register for e-Learning?

Registration is easy. Just visit our Session Topics page and use the registration button for the training session you wish to attend.

What happens after I register?

After you have registered and paid for the ECE® e-Learning session, you will receive a confirmation email with important information to help you access the training session by computer and telephone on the scheduled date and time.

Your confirmation email will include:

  • Training course info, date, and time
  • Login and password instructions
  • Session number
  • Session password
  • Registration ID and number
  • Contact and e-Learning support information

A hyperlink to the training session PowerPoint presentation will be delivered to you via email one day before the actual online session.

How much does each e-Learning cost?

The fee for each online session may vary. Please visit the course description to view the fee. Full payment is required prior training sessions.

How can I pay?

Payment by Visa or MasterCard is preferred.

However, if you cannot pay by credit card, please email Naomi Spring, Controller.

What technology do I need?

All you need is a telephone and a computer. 

How do I know if my system is compatible with the e-Learning delivery system?

Read about WebEx system requirements.

How can I test my system to be sure it is compatible?

Perform a test on your device. We recommend you test your system at least one hour before the session start time.

Training Session Questions

What do I do when my training session is going to start?

Open the confirmation email and click on the hyperlink. You can also copy and paste the link in your web browser.

Your login and password should be automatically loaded into the prompts. If it is not, copy and paste both of these from the confirmation email and click enter. All passwords are case sensitive.

Once you are logged onto the training session, use the call-in information available on the screen or on the pop-up window to connect to the audio portion of the presentation. You will enter the presentation in listen-only mode to avoid audio disruptions during the presentation.

Will I receive a copy of the presentation?

Yes. You will receive a PDF copy of the presentation usually one day before the training session. Depending on the presentation topic and the presenter, you might also receive a PDF of a set of credentials, list of resources, case studies, etc., to complement the training session.

Is the e-Learning interactive?

Yes. There is a chat feature to ask questions during the presentation. These will be answered at the end of the session. ECE believes lectures that include practical components are the best way to teach and learn. Your session may include quizzes, polls, exercises, and more.

Payment

Full payment is required in advance of the training session.

Cancellation and Refunds

A written notice of a cancellation request must be received by mail or email at least 24 hours prior to the training session start time to qualify for a refund. Qualifying refunds, minus a $25 processing fee, will be issued within three weeks of the request. A refund will not be issued if a cancellation request is received after the training session.

A hyperlink to a PDF of the session presentation will be sent to you within five business days after the training session if you do not qualify for a refund.

Technical Issues

Individual technical failures are your responsibility. We are not responsible for any individual technical failures that block you from attending a training session. A refund will not be issued for individual technical failures that result in your inability to attend.

Please test your system at least two days before the ECE® e-Learning training session. See the Webex System Requirements for minimum and optional requirements.

Trainer

We reserve the right to substitute a trainer due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts.

e-Learning 30-minute Snapshot

Our newly designed ECE® e-Learning Program!

We know that you have busy days researching and assessing international credentials in addition to so many other responsibilities. In our new e-learning format, we hope you can spend just 30 minutes with us as we focus on a specific evaluation hot topic.

Our presentation will last about 15 minutes, and then we’ll open the chat to attendees to ask questions, get answers, and share their own best practices.

And did we mention that attendance is FREE?

Our international education e-Learning modules are interactive and country-focused. Let our expert trainers help you navigate educational systems around the world.

The sessions are 1 hour in length and include the following:

  • Introduction to the system
  • Upper secondary education and its credentials
  • Vocational credentials and if they may warrant transfer credit or advanced standing
  • Post-secondary education and its credentials, from undergraduate to post-graduate
  • Fraud, accreditation, and resources specific to the country

And of course, if there is a hot topic that relates directly to a country module, we will discuss that issue during the session.
