PhORCAS Application Instructions

Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) is a service that simplifies the process of applying to pharmacy residency programs. ECE works with PhORCAS to offer credential evaluation services for foreign-trained students, helping them meet the necessary requirements for U.S. residency programs.

Before applying:

✔ You will need to create an ECE® user account, if you do not already have one.

IMPORTANT: Your email address used for your ECE® account needs to be an exact match to the email address used on your CAS account.

✔ Once you have an ECE® user account, be sure to completely log out of your ECE® account before accessing your PhORCAS account.

✔ PhORCAS only accepts evaluation reports during open CAS cycles. More information on the CAS cycle can be found here: PhORCAS Cycle Dates.

Report Type

PhORCAS requires a Course by Course ($195) evaluation report.

If you already had an ECE® Course by Course evaluation report completed within the last 5 years, read the section below about Ordering ECE Report Copies.

To apply for an ECE® Evaluation Report:

You MUST begin the application process on the PhORCAS site. 

  1. Complete the PhORCAS application to receive a Centralized Application Service (CAS) ID#.   

    • It is very important that you add the international schools you attended in the Colleges Attended section of the PhORCAS account.

  2. From your PhORCAS account, select the ORDER ECE® Evaluation button from where you will be redirected to the ECE® login page.  

  3. Once logged in to your ECE® account, complete the online application for an ECE® Course by Course evaluation report.  

    • An official ECE report copy for PhORCAS will be automatically added to your order.  

  4. After the ECE online application has been submitted, send your educational documentation according to the ECE® country-specific documentation requirements.

Ordering ECE Report Copies

If you already had an ECE® Course by Course evaluation report completed within the last 5 years, you can order a copy sent to PhORCAS.

Be sure to completely log out of your ECE® user account before accessing your PhORCAS account.

IMPORTANT: ECE official report copies for PhORCAS should only be ordered when the PhORCAS cycle is open. If a copy is ordered prior to the PhORCAS cycle opening, it will not appear in your PhORCAS account, and a new copy will need to be ordered when the PhORCAS cycle opens.   

You MUST begin the copy request process on the PhORCAS site. 

  1. Complete the PhORCAS application to receive a Centralized Application Service (CAS) ID#.   

    • It is very important that you add the international schools you attended in the Colleges Attended section of the PhORCAS account.

  2. From your PhORCAS account, select the ORDER ECE® Evaluation button from where you will be redirected to the ECE® login page.  

  1. Log in to your ECE® account and complete a Copy Request Order for an official electronic copy to be delivered to PhORCAS.

    • An official ECE report copy for PhORCAS will be automatically added to your order.
