ADEA CAAPID Application Instructions
The American Dental Education Association - Centralized Application for Advanced Placement for International Dentists (ADEA CAAPID) provides centralized application services for those pursuing education in dentistry in the U.S. This service allows you to apply to multiple dental education programs in the U.S. with one application.
Before applying:
✔ You will need to create an ECE® user account, if you do not already have one.
IMPORTANT: Your email address used for your ECE® account needs to be an exact match to the email address used on your CAS account.
✔ Once you have an ECE® user account, be sure to completely log out of your ECE® account before accessing your ADEA CAAPID account.
✔ ADEA CAAPID only accepts evaluation reports during open CAS cycles. More information on the CAS cycle can be found here: ADEA CAAPID Cycle Dates.
Report Type
ADEA CAAPID requires a Course by Course ($199) evaluation report.
If you already had an ECE® Course by Course evaluation report completed within the last 5 years, read the section below about Ordering ECE Report Copies.
To apply for an ECE® Evaluation Report:
You MUST begin the application process on the ADEA CAAPID site.

Complete the ADEA CAAPID application to receive a Centralized Application Service (CAS) ID#.

It is very important that you add the international schools you attended in the Colleges Attended section of the ADEA CAAPID account.

From your ADEA CAAPID account, select the ORDER ECE® Evaluation button from where you will be redirected to the ECE® login page.

Once logged in to your ECE® account, complete the online application for an ECE® Course by Course evaluation report.

An official ECE report copy for ADEA CAAPID will be automatically added to your order.

After the ECE online application has been submitted, send your educational documentation according to the ECE® country-specific documentation requirements.

Ordering ECE Report Copies
If you already had an ECE® Course by Course evaluation report completed within the last 5 years, you can order a copy sent to ADEA CAAPID.
Be sure to completely log out of your ECE® user account before accessing your ADEA CAAPID account.
IMPORTANT: ECE official report copies for ADEA CAAPID should only be ordered when the ADEA CAAPID cycle is open. If a copy is ordered prior to the ADEA CAAPID cycle opening, it will not appear in your ADEA CAAPID account, and a new copy will need to be ordered when the ADEA CAAPID cycle opens.

Does ADEA CAAPID require an ECE® credential evaluation for internationally educated dentists?
Yes. If you're applying through ADEA CAAPID as an internationally educated dentist, you'll need an ECE® Course by Course evaluation report.

You'll need an ECE® Course by Course evaluation report. The fee is $199.
How do I order an ECE® evaluation for ADEA CAAPID?
First, make sure you have an ECE® account using the same email address as your ADEA CAAPID account. Then start your evaluation order in ADEA CAAPID, receive your CAS ID, select ORDER ECE Evaluation, and follow the prompts to complete the ECE® Course by Course application.
